Rebecca August is a Connecticut based artist who works with several mediums including acrylic ink, scratchboard, pen and ink, and mixed media. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration with a minor in Art History from the University of Hartford, and has studied abroad in Italy.
Rebecca works in a realistic style while channeling themes of horror along with elements of surrealism. She also has an interest in botanical and zoological illustration. Rebecca hopes to create real feeling in her drawings and paintings and is currently experimenting with finding the right medium for those stories. She hopes to work in visual storytelling through artwork.
